These days there’s just no getting around it– for success in just about every walk of life you must be a proficient reader. Schools are more focused than ever on reading. Nonetheless, studies suggest that anywhere from 5% to 15% of third graders display symptoms such as:

• classic letter reversals • inability to read or difficulty reading • poor comprehension of text • poor handwriting or spelling • poor attention to task • low academic performance • referral to “Special Ed” • lowered self esteem

You know you’re smart – there are so many things you do well – so why is reading such a problem? It has nothing to do with intelligence – in fact, the smarter, more creative you are, the better educated your parents, the greater the chances that you were born with some very unique and highly valued perceptual abilities. These abilities are amazing gifts! But they may not work well for you when you have to deal with symbols. And letters, punctuation marks, numbers — they’re all symbols, of course!

What you need are tools that allow you to take conscious control of those abilities - turn them off when you need to read, write, do math… and turn them back on when you’re engaged in other activities. Is it for you? Our assessment will determine whether our methods are right for you, but chances are GOOD that they are!
